Fix : App Store Missing After iOS 6.1 Update

Some of you might have faced this issue after updating your iPhone/iPad to the latest iOS 6.1 version – the App Store gone missing! Now, relax and be assured that it didn’t get uninstalled/removed accidentally, rather it was just an app security setting that took the App Store behind the curtains.

Here’s how to bring it back:

1. Goto Settings -> General ->Restrictions. Enter the four-digit security PIN to open it.

2. Scroll down and ‘turn ON’ the options ‘Installing Apps‘ and ‘Deleting Apps‘.

This should bring back the App Store to the app drawer.

You can also choose to disable the Restrictions itself if you want, by tapping the Disable Restrictions at the top of the same page.

Now while you’re at the Restrictions section, you can roam around a bit (if you have decided to keep it enabled), and can try disabling/hiding some of the pre-installed apps like Camera, FaceTime, Safari, Siri, iTunes etc. and also you can manage some advanced app settings from the same page.
